    Going abroad for ivf

    Dear All,

    I would like to hear ayour personal opinion on ivf abroad. I have been trying to cget pregnant for quite some time, for over two years. Not feeling like it makes me day by day happier. I have tried to go to some meditation classes, to make me feel better. Every visit to the doctor was not the best one as I was told my egg have a poor quaity. I have made some online research and came across Intersono clinic, based in Ukraine. It seema like that clinic has a very good reputation and a high birth rate. Which clinic and city would you sufggest? Feeling a bit desperate.

    I would reccomend the clinic I used in the Ukraine, Valencia Fertility Clinic | ilaya International Group. There IVF treatments really helped me, and I even talked about surrogacy (which is an option there). But thankfully I was able to get pregnant with the IVF treatment, it did take a while though.. You should check a few clinics, the cost is much less than a UK or US clinic and the services can be as good or even better.. Think about it, any question Im here!

    Pros and Cons exist with all treatments.. I think it would be easier to talk directly to a doctor! They are super reliable, they helped me alot! I had no understanding of the process, medical aspects, nothing.. and they explained it (the best way possible for my mind) and helped me through.. I would reccomend going, see what you think and let me know

    @Stacia Korova,

    That exactly sound like me at the moment. Only going through the posts, reading online, taking a look at all the reviews, asking aroung and trying to analyze for myself. I guess I am just overthinking as well I just hope to get as much as possible out of this trip. However, thee is always another option or will be another visit. I guess it is also very important to find that connection with the specialist. Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it.

    Fertility tourism refers to going to another country for infertility treatment, although it is safe to say that many people looking at this option do not consider these trips to be a vacation. The primary reason US citizen go abroad for fertility treatment is lower cost; while the primary reason citizens of other countries come to the US for infertility treatment is the availability of treatment options not offered in their home country. Whichever clinic you are attending, you can be safe in the knowledge that it will be myself who is planning and coordinating your treatment and liaising very closely with that clinic and with yourself. Even though I might not physically be there for the treatment itself, you can be assured that everything will be in place to ensure a smooth cycle of treatment. You are certainly not having to juggle work commitments as well as putting yourself through a cycle of treatment at the same time. There is certainly no harm in taking advantage of good weather and immersing yourself in the local culture for a short while!

    I did not even know that terminology such as "fertility tourism " exsist. I have read that The US and Canada are the most expencive whe it comes to ivf. Would you consider the cost for ivf crusial in the meaning of quality: the more expecive the better quality of the treatment ? It would be also interesting to see yearly statistic: how many couples are going for ivf per year, how many people are effected by infertility and the most common reason of infertlity for men and women.
    On the other side I totaly understand that going for ivf abroad is not a vacation reason and also stress factor is very high.
    It would be quite interesting, if you could drop here some links regading ivf statistics.
    Thank you so much for your post.

    Unfortunately it does. I know of couples that get a work permit to work in the UK for a year or two and then do IVF on the NHS for free.

    Why are you saying "unfortunately"? I assume it has advantages and one af them is saving costs? I would like to ask you about your personal opinion on surrogacy and inf treatments. And how would you advice patients to chosse the right clinic?

    I say the word "unfortunately" as I believe it's unethical to do so.

    Yes, you save money, but take from a country that is already over-stretched and unable to treat it's own population.
