Irregular menstrual cycles can have various underlying causes, such as hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, excessive stress, excessive exercise, and more. Since you mentioned that your cycles became regular while on the pill and have become irregular again after discontinuing it, it suggests that there might be a hormonal component involved.

Firstly understand the causes of irregular periods, this is common problems in woman. but if you do not look at this problem in your teen age , then you may have to deal with pregnancy related issues after your marriage.
Natural hormonal changes , taking birth control pills , PCOS/PCOD , depression , overweight , thyroid disease are the main causes of irregular menstruation.
however, if your period is still not regular after trying everything. then consult good gynecologist before taking any pills,

taking pills is not a solution to regulate your cycle. you should focus on other things like setting up your regular routine , eat only healthy food ( try to avoid junk food) , do exercise regularly, try to maintain weight , manage stress.

An irregular period is a menstrual cycle that is either shorter than 21 days or longer than 36 days. Your cycle may also be considered irregular if it varies significantly from every month. For example, if one month your period cycle is 23 days, and another it's 35, your cycles would be considered irregular. if your cycles tend to be slightly longer than the normal, but they are consistently that length, you may be less experienced with fertility problems than someone whose cycles vary significantly but the length falls within norms. when you stop taking the pill, it can take a time like a few months for your cycle to get back to normal. As your body returns to its hormone levels, you may miss your period for a few months. If your period is consistently irregular consult your doctor or gynecologist.

Hi to everybody, and before i start to talk about our story with infertility want to thanks anyone how will donate, with all my heart I give them best of luck and love for anything they want in there lives. Special for lady`s and couples who fight with infertility and to ones who has succeed. I am 44. I am from Macedonia. That is a small country on Balkan. My partner is 46 and we are married for 18 years. We still fighting for first baby. Our story with infertility begins almost 10 years ago, when my husband fell very sick. After heart surgery I do believe that his body change, and I wasn't getting any younger so we was thinking that we can have baby`s nature way but after a some time it was obvious that something is wrong. Doctor results say that it must be a IVF because nothing else will work. We have a one unsuccessful IVF covered by the state, and when we was asking for second one they just say my hormone is to high (fertility doctor say that is not a big problem, and can be fix with medication). But the State after the most prolonged time reject us. So we save how much we can, and can`t, and we go with second IVF and fall again on a same thing. To the age with fertility I can produce two eggs that develop nicely to a embryo, and fail to implant. So we are devastated. Pretty in clinch with the time, and mоnеy. But I will never quit. Now we are saving for IVF nomero. 3, and we will probably need to go back to back with ivf to succeed and that is where I asking for help. Because I am 44, probably if we don`t succeed in a next year or so it will never hapеn.

I can provide IVF document if needed.

Thanks to everyone how will read this story

Same issue ... Was also diagnosed with PCOS last month. I started drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea a couple times a day for the past two months, and for the first time ever I had a 28 day cycle! Not sure if it was the tea or what, but worth a shot since its cheap and relatively harmless.

This month (Dec 2020) my OBGYN has also started me on Letrozole to hopefully induce ovulation.

If you're not ovulating, you won't be able to get pregnant. Anovulation is a common cause of female infertility and it can be triggered by many conditions. Most women who are experiencing ovulation problems have irregular periods. However, regular menstrual cycles don't guarantee that ovulation is occurring.

I had the same problem. The doctors give out contraceptives like candy and before you know it, you've been on it for 10+ years.

They don't tell you at the time that it can cause problems with fertility. You only think as a teenager that you don't want to get pregnant, have acne and less period pain.
